Raw Nuts : Slightly sweet taste and creamy texture. They are very nutritious when eaten raw, obtaining all the extra food value in the skin.

Roasting Hazelnuts : Roasting the hazelnut is ideal to get a more smoky, robust flavour, and make for pleasant eating with the skin removed.

To Roast : Spread the nuts into a shallow baking pan and roast in a moderate oven for 10minuites or until the nut turns a light golden colour and the skins begin to separate. To remove skins, rub gently.

For a more subtle flavour : Blanch hazelnuts by heating in oven @ 150C for about 10 minutes only until skins separate from the Nuts.
